Memorial Garden

Bideawee has a beautiful a memorial garden that is specifically designed as a final resting place for cremated remains. The Kibbe Memorial Garden has been developed to blend in with nature and provide a serene setting among manicured trees and shrubs. Ashes are interred in columbarium niches faced in granite or in small plots beneath attractive concrete paving stones. The granite facing and paving stones can be engraved with the name of the deceased or other meaningful information.

What do I do if my pet passes away at home?

If your pet passes away at home, contact us as soon as you are able to. We are here to help and will assist you with making arrangements, answer your questions, and address any concerns. We will walk you through every step in the process, and if needed, we can arrange to come to your residence and transport your pet to our facilities. This is an incredibly difficult time and one that you shouldn’t have to handle alone.

Will you pick up my pet at my home or veterinary clinic?

For pet lovers who reside in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island, and Long Island, the Pet Memorial Parks at Bideawee can arrange transportation of your beloved pet from your home or your veterinarian’s office to one of our locations for a fee. We generally provide a pick-up service Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am and 3pm.

Pets can also be brought directly to the Pet Memorial Parks at Bideawee in Wantagh or Westhampton by their owners or to our Manhattan location. There is no fee for transportation of your pet between any of our offices.

How much notice do I need to provide to schedule a burial?

Burial services at Bideawee Pet Memorial Parks are a highly personalized service and are handled by appointment to ensure each client the time and attention they deserve.

We generally request a minimum of 24 hours to properly prepare the plot site. It is only in special circumstances that we would be able to accommodate a burial with less notice.

Can I see my pet again before the burial?

We invite and encourage you to arrange for a proper viewing at Bideawee Pet Memorial Parks prior to cremation or burial. For those that choose to do so, a viewing can help you and your family through the grieving process. Our viewing rooms provide the opportunity to have a quiet goodbye and to honor your beloved friend. We understand the need for privacy and reflection during these trying time, so a private room is available, at no extra charge, for use by family and friends prior to burial or cremation.

Can I be buried with my pet?

At the end of life, it’s customary for individuals to be buried next to family members. Pets are members of our family and Bideawee’s Pet Memorial Parks offer animal lovers the opportunity to spend eternity close to their beloved pets. If you have a perpetual maintenance plan for your pet’s plot, you are entitled to have your ashes buried with your pet, at no additional cost. Are pet loss support groups offered at Bideawee?

Bideawee hosts pet loss support groups that bring people together who are experiencing grief and mourning that come with the loss of a beloved pet. The Bideawee Pet Loss Support program is a free service that convenes virtually on Zoom. Visit our Pet Loss Support page for more information.
