Happy Tails
We love to hear the latest news from adopters and their Bideawee babies!
Trixie (Cat)
My husband and I adopted 4 year old "Sunset" (now Trixie) from Bideawee
(Wantagh) in January 2007. We are so thankful to Bideawee for her; we were
told she was rescued from another shelter, a shelter that could have
ultimately destroyed her. Now she leads a loved, lazy cats life, napping or
snuggling up to both of us. We are quick to mention Bideawee to any person
we know that is interested in adopting. Thanks Again!!!

Tallulah Bell (Cat)
Good Afternoon, I just wanted to say that the stories on happytails always make me smile and kinda brings a tear to my eye when i think of how good the adopted animals are doing. I have a story of my own, I adopted Mona Lisa (now Tallulah Bell) from you in 2006 she was 6weeks old. This was a hard time for me because my cat had just passed away, I came to your shelter looking for another family member because there was a void in my heart and my house. You staff listened to me and let me cry when i talked about my last cat. They showed me Mona Lisa and i fell in love. I have to say that she is the love of my life and I am so thankful to have her that i am about to visit your shelter again and adopt her a friend. So thank you for all the work you do to save these animals who all deserve a loving home.
Thank you again for tallulah bell. She is the best

Papo (Cat)
Dear Bideawee,
I'd just like to say thank you for finding my new owners, Carole and Nick.
They adopted me today, February 29, 2008.
They decided to change my name from Percy to Papo, Carole's dad's nickname.
They brought me to my new Vet. He says I am healthy and my shots are up to date.
Meow, Papo
(P.S. We too want to say a BIG Thank You for our new addition to our family, Carole and Nicholas)

Miles (Dog)
We adopted Miles in April of 2006, and since then he's had quite an adventurous life. Not only is this cocker at home in the city, but also quite at home on the farm as well!
In the summer of 2007 my wife and I moved to Vienna, Austria, taking Miles with us. After getting all the necessary paperwork in order, Miles traveled with us first to Munich, and then on to Vienna. While Miles now has quite a good sized dog run to play in just around the corner, my in-laws own a farm about 2 hours south of us. We're pretty sure that Miles refers to this place as 'Heaven on Earth'. He's got a kuvasz friend to play with, fields to run in, and plenty of chickens to chase after.
Thanks again to Bidawee for providing us with the best dog ever!

Sarge (Cat)
We adopted Sarge from Bideawee in May 2007, and have not stopped being grateful to you since! Sarge was handpicked for us by Bideawee and the fit could not be more perfect. Sarge has quickly become a valued member of our household and has brought much love and laughter into our home. He is full of energy and loves to play (almost all the time!) and we are never quite sure what to expect from one minute to the next--which is a great source of entertainment and amusement. Best of all, he just wants to be near us all the time and is wonderful company.

Shai (Dog)
We adopted Shai from Bideawee when he was 11 months old, in 1997. He has been the most loving, fun, playful, and sensitive friend, partner, and family member that anyone could want. He is an avid hiker and still loves to go for runs. He has weathered, and helped us grow through many of life's transitions--both the joyous and the painful.
Here are pictures of Shai and of Dolly. Dolly was recsued a few years ago from CACC.
I have learned that the word "Shai" means gift. Indeed it is one of the greatest pleasures of my life to have Shai to share life with, and the greatest gift of Bideawee grant me that opportunity.
