Standards of Care for Bideawee Resident Animals
Our Bill of Rights
Bideawee has internal Bill of Rights for Resident Animals that establish the standard of care we provide to resident animals while at BAW. Our Bill of Rights for Resident Canines and Bill of Rights for Resident Felines include our Medical Bill of Rights for Resident Animals, which guides our dedicated staff in all the work they do to get our resident animals ready for adoption.
Each resident animal receives a thorough medical check-up. All are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (rabies, distemper/parvo, bordetella, feline leukemia) and treated for any pre-existing illnesses or conditions. They eat a high-quality diet. Each resident receives loving attention from caring staff and volunteers. All Bideawee sites have behavior specialists who provide behavior enrichment & training to all our Adoption Center animals. Temporary foster care in safe and loving homes is arranged as an alternative for animals who experience difficulties adjusting to the Adoption Center environment.
