2/26: Giuseppe goes home!

Everything we had hoped for this little guy has come to be! Thanks to the support, well-wishes, and positive energy you sent Giuseppe from all around the world, his surgery was a success, his recovery is coming along smoothly, and he is now living in a loving forever home!

Giuseppe was adopted by Janita Camano, an employee at the veterinary hospital where Giuseppe underwent his life-saving surgery. Like you, she quickly fell in love with the sweet kitten and being with him through such a difficult time only cemented their bond. Ms. Camano decided to make the ultimate commitment to Giuseppe and bring him into her family.

Under Ms. Camano's care, Giuseppe recently had his post-surgery follow-up sonogram and it looks as though he is on the path to complete recovery. If he continues to get the care he needs, one day it will be impossible to know that this kitten once had a life-threatening condition.

For the time being, he does still need to take it easy, so he is slowly meeting his new housemates, which include three small dogs and one cat.

We are all thrilled that Giuseppe is healthy, happy, and, finally, home—and we know that you are too. Thank you again for helping us to give this sweet kitty the chance he truly deserved at life.

2/08: Giuseppe is recovering in intensive care

On behalf of everyone at Bideawee-the two-legged and the four-legged-thank you for all of the amazing support you have provided. Giuseppe has melted the hearts of so many and we have been so touched at the outpouring of love and support he has received.

We are thrilled to report that Giuseppe has undergone the life-saving open-heart surgery he needed!

Thanks to our caring supporters, our sweet little kitten, Giuseppe is recovering with us in intensive care after undergoing the costly and risky procedure. He is getting lots of TLC from the medical staff and everyone at Bideawee is doting on Giuseppe and he in turn just adores the attention!

Giuseppe's heart specialist has taken great care of him throughout the complex procedure and is very optimistic about the future.

Even with the wonderful care, and although he is comfortable, Giuseppe is not completely out of the woods. He will go back to the heart specialist over the next couple of weeks for an ultrasound to see if the operation was successful. If the surgery didn't take, he may have to go through another surgery. We are all hoping for the best and it is comforting to know that so many gracious people are pulling for his complete recovery.





Giuseppe is truly our Valentine's miracle and we are forever grateful for all the support he has received. However, because his condition is still critical, Giuseppe is still in need of your support.
