Fate has dealt Miko another dreadful setback and this poor, sweet Siberian Husky mix needs crucial surgery. Again.

Many of you may remember that Miko was dropped off at our Westhampton Adoption Center on a cold winter day - right before Christmas. During Miko's medical evaluation, Bideawee veterinarians discovered that he had a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left rear leg. This beautiful, sweet brown and white Siberian husky mix was suffering a great deal of pain. His profound limp told Bideawee staff something was wrong, even before the examination.

But with your crucial help this Winter, Bideawee was able to get Miko the surgery he needed to stop his pain and suffering. He was on the road to recovery! Bideawee was giving him love, attention and physical therapy so that he could have the best chance of getting adopted.

But luck is not on Miko's side and he has suffered a terrible setback by injuring yet another knee. According to our dedicated veterinary doctors, it is not uncommon to rupture the other ACL after the first one goes. Sweet Miko is still not bearing weight on the first limb very well, which puts extra stress on the opposite leg. This poor pup is again in so very much pain and is again in need of urgent surgery to heal the other leg.

Miko is a wonderful dog and deserves to have every chance of finding his forever, loving home. We won't give up on him! We will continue to give him all of the love and medical attention that we possibly can. Miko doesn't deserve the cruel fate of the physical or emotional suffering he has had to endure in his short life.

Please help Bideawee get Miko the surgery he needs again so that he can find his forever home. Donate now to help Miko and others like him in our care.
