With so many pit bulls abused, neglected, and abandoned, we are beyond thrilled at the out-pouring of support and love we have received for this sweet girl - she truly is our Miracle.
We are pleased to report that Miracle had her surgery and is currently in recovery. The healing will take time and plenty of physical therapy, exercise, and TLC, but the prognosis is good for regaining the full use of her leg.
When they first saw her x-rays, our doctors were surprised at the severity of the break. This was a very serious injury, even for a car accident. Once they had begun the operation, it became clear that they would need to graph bone from Miracle's front leg in order to repair the broken femur properly. So in the end, as if she hadn't already been through enough, poor little Miracle had to essentially endure surgery on two legs.
But endure she has, and, considering the odds, her recovery thus far has been remarkable.
It really was a miracle that she survived the hit and being abandoned. Another miracle has been the support, love, and well-wishing she has received from all of you.
It is only with your support that we are able to help Miracle and others like her-the homeless, abandoned, injured, and voiceless, desperately waiting for a miracle of their own, the simple chance to live a safe life with a loving family.
Miracle was innocently crossing the street when she was hit by a speeding car. The driver didn't even bother to stop to see if she was okay-he heartlessly drove on, leaving her for dead.
Cruelty to animals is a serious matter year round, and it is especially poignant this month, Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month. The thought that someone would drive away from the scene of an accident, leaving a sweet and innocent dog to suffer-or even die-is the unfortunate reminder that caring for homeless, injured, and abused animals is only part of what needs to be done. We need to change people's perceptions of animals and ensure they get the recognition they deserve as valuable members of our families and our communities.
Show your support today and donate now to help end cruelty to animals.
Ask your fiends to read Miracle's story in hopes they do the same. Together, we can make the world a kinder place for dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens.

 MIRACLE'S STORY
This two year-old pup was innocently crossing the street when she was hit by a speeding car. The driver never bothered to stop to see if she was okay-he heartlessly drove on, leaving her for dead.
A witness of the terrible hit and run scooped up Miracle, a tiny pit bull terrier, from underneath the bumper of a nearby parked car where she cowered, terrified and in shock. Not knowing quite where to go, the witness turned her over to a city shelter.
When she arrived, the team at the city shelter could see her injuries were severe, far beyond what they could adequately care for, and they knew she needed help. They immediately turned to Bideawee to ask for help to save this innocent pup. Miracle's chances would not be good at the city shelter because of her injuries and her breed. Bideawee could offer her the chance she needed to ensure her survival.
Right now, our girl is in desperate need of surgery to repair a broken femur, an extremely painful injury that has left her limping in agony. We need your help in order to give her the surgery, post-care, rehabilitation, and TLC she needs in order to recover from this tragedy and start her life new in a loving and safe environment.
Help Miracle know that we do care about her and that there are people out there that have not abandoned her. Pit bulls are often maligned and abused and we want Miracle to know that she is treasured and loved.
It was a miracle that she survived the hit and being abandoned. We know that with your support today, more miracles are coming her way.
