Animals can't tell their own tales, so we look to their health, appearance, and personalities to speak for them.

Like so many animals that come through our doors, Willy's story was somewhat of a mystery. However, with Willy, part of his narrative was obvious-this kitty was in agony.

The open wounds circling Willy's neck tell the story of an embedded collar that Willy appears to have torn out of his neck with his own claws in order to free himself of the excruciating pain and suffering. This type of injury is often the result of severe neglect-collars are put on animals when they are small and down the line they are forgotten, neglected, or tossed aside like garbage. As the animal grows, with no one around to love and care for him, the collar becomes painfully embedded in the neck as the flesh grows around it, making it difficult to breathe.

Bideawee rescued this handsome and helpless kitty from an uncertain future. It is up to us to care for him, treat him, and nurture him back to health and happiness.

Due to the extent of his injuries, Willy needs special care and several different medications. Because of the location of his injuries, Bideawee's medical staff have to monitor Willy carefully to ensure his injuries do not get infected, and the unbearable itching will make it difficult for Willy to resist scratching them, opening the wound all over again.
