Narconal (Formally Corn Pop) came into my life through the discovery of Bideawee at Broadway Barks! I love theatre, and have done some acting myself, and was living in NYC at the time, and had always wanted to attend Broadway Barks! They do amazing work, you see Broadway stars, meet adorable pets, and learn about various organizations. I chose Bideawee, because I fell in love with the pets there that day, (Even though my soon to be pup wasn’t there that day.) and made the choice to go and adopt. I wanted to give my dog a unique Broadway name, and at the time, (and it has now sadly closed,) “Death Becomes Her” was playing on Broadway, and it had become my favorite comfort show to see! I named my pup Narconal after the moment where Helen is conspiring with Ernest about Madeline’s demise, and suggests using an elixir called “Narconal.” Some people understood the reference, and some people didn’t. Various cast members thought it was so funny that I chose that name, and thanked me for supporting Broadway Barks. Narconal has been a great boy to me, and has provided so much comfort, support, and joy not just to me, but to everyone he meets, even my dad, who is not a pet fan, enjoys being around him.
