As many of you probably know, in 2020, we had to cancel our largest fundraising event of the year, the Bideawee Ball. The Ball may just look like a fancy party, but the reality is that the money raised at that event funds a tremendous portion of the lifesaving work we do day in and day out.
To make up for the year we lost, we are hosting two outdoor events this year. It’s a huge undertaking, and our success will depend not only on the people who attend those events, but on every person who believes in the work we do.
We understand that not everyone is able to attend these events, but you can still help us meet our ambitious goals by participating in the Hill’s Everyday Heroes Challenge right from your own living room!
In spite of the extraordinary obstacles we faced this last year, there is so much worth celebrating. Like the courage and commitment of our staff, everyday heroes who couldn’t — and wouldn’t –“stay at home” until every dog and cat in our care had a home too. Or the dedication of our foster parents and volunteers who stepped up to provide comfort, love and shelter to animal after animal so that we could continue to open our doors to dogs and cats in need.
In honor of these heroes, our friends at Hill’s Pet Nutrition have offered to match every online donation up to $10,000! Because of their generosity–and with your support– we can continue to support the work they do on the front lines every day so that homeless dogs and cats can have a better life.
It takes a village to save vulnerable animals, and we hope you’ll join us in making this the most successful gala season ever. As always, thank you for being a hero for animals.
Always my best,
Leslie Granger
