Justine Kalmowitz, Animal Care Specialist, PAWS
Hi! My name is Justine Kalmowitz, I’m 19-years old and I’m an Animal Care Specialist at Bideawee’s PAWS location in Wantagh. I’ve been working at Bideawee for about 14 months now and it’s been such an amazing learning experience! Some of the responsibilities of my role at PAWS include administering medications, feeding, cleaning, and making sure all the animals I am responsible for are healthy, happy and well cared for. I’ve been an animal lover my entire life. I grew up in a house with all different kinds of pets so working with animals has always come very natural to me. In my free time, I enjoy reading, shopping at thrift stores, walking in nature, and of course, spending time with my pets. My goal is to remain in animal welfare, and to pursue my dream of becoming a veterinary technician.
